Hello, my name is Mario Gorman, and I’m a photographer based in Long Beach, California. I’ve been behind the camera for over a decade, starting out in the BMX world before evolving into portrait and commercial work.
I’m a full-blood Navajo, born and raised in Albuquerque after my parents were the first in our family to move off the reservation. It wasn’t until I came to California that I picked up my first photo camera. From then on I captured everything around me, from BMX sessions to friends and everyday life.
Since then, my work has been featured in magazines, restaurants, and brand campaigns, including projects with BMX companies. My street-influenced roots taught me to always stay present and ready, creating images that are raw and bold yet carry a sense of elegance.
At the heart of it, I love capturing motion and people, freezing the kind of authentic moments that tell a story. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me.
