Mario Gorman aka SmokedSignals, is a Long Beach based photographer and director from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a proud 100% Navajo, first generation born off the reservation. Originally moving to Los Angeles to pursue BMX, he found a passion for creating imagery that captures the energy, culture, and people around him.

Today, Mario creates commercial photography and films across food & beverage, fashion, lifestyle, and action sports. His work blends documentary authenticity and storytelling, always searching for moments that feel natural, human, and memorable. Whether he's photographing a restaurant campaign, leading his own creative productions or working alongside production teams on larger sets, the focus remains the same: create work that people connect with.

Years spent immersed in BMX culture continue to influence his creative approach bringing movement, timing, and an instinct for genuine moments into every project. Combined with a growing background in commercial production, his work balances raw energy with refined execution.

Mario believes the best creative comes from collaboration. Every project is an opportunity to build something meaningful with talented people and tell stories that leave a lasting impression.
